I grew up chasing a dream to play hockey at the highest level …
…representing USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) as one of only 20 players selected nationwide for the inaugural Under-17 and Under-18 teams, the very first of their kind. This program has since gone on to produce the majority of USA-born NHL players you see today. I went on to play Division I hockey at the highest level for a team that was ranked number one and number two in the country during my time there. Injuries eventually cut my career short, but what I carried forward was more valuable than any trophy: the discipline, grit, and mindset of elite athletics. For over 20 years I have applied those same principles to health, fitness, and personal growth, helping people transform their lives with proven & sustainable strategies.
Life threw me another challenge when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, myasthenia gravis.
Instead of letting it hold me back, I chose to fight through it by staying disciplined, adapting my training, and proving to myself and others that obstacles can become fuel. I live by the belief that if I can keep pushing through, so can you.
That experience inspired me to write Food Wars: A Guide to Protecting Kids from Processed Food and Sugar and to create the PERS Diet, a science-driven, anti-inflammatory nutrition plan designed for fat loss, performance, and long-term health.
I am also the author of Everyday Olympiad, where I share lessons from high-performance athletics and apply them to everyday life in work, parenting, relationships, and personal growth.
My mission is simple: make the science of health accessible, practical, and powerful so families and individuals can thrive.
